Pixar party, y/y?

 Nintendo has signed a £10 million contract to bring Doctor Who to Wii and DS consoles, according to tabloid reports.

The Sun says that the company plans to have the game, which will be based around Matt Smith's Doctor, in shops in time for Christmas 2010.

"This has been in the pipeline for years," an insider is quoted as saying. "We're delighted to have finally nailed down a deal.

"We went with Nintendo as they have huge appeal for families and Doctor Who is very much a family brand. The Wii console is key for us as it's something families play together."

The BBC is apparently keen to monitor the game closely and has rejected anything too violent.

The insider continued: "BBC Worldwide, which licenses BBC shows, has been trying to find some way of doing it. But you can't have Doctor Who blowing things to bits with a laser gun. That would massively change the nature of the show."

Still chilling out overseas, Lindsay Lohan was spotted leaving the Park Hyatt Vendome hotel in Paris, France yesterday (March 11).

The “Georgia Rule” actress looked a bit cranky in her all-black ensemble as she made her way to the French television show “Le Grand Journal.”

And it sounds like LiLo is back to ignoring her father after his most recent comments that she needs to get into rehab again.

Lindsay explained, "I'm not really speaking to him. Him saying those things is the last thing that's going to get me to speak to him and I've told him that. He's nuts. He is someone who is crying out for help and attention. He is the one who should be in rehab. He has been on and off like this my whole life. The real issue here? I don't condone that he has never paid child support. He has never stepped up. It's not fair, my mom has been such a great mother and has done such a great job raising us."

Supermodel Rie Rasmussen gave a furious tongue-lashing to fashion photographer Terry Richardson at a Paris fashion event and accused him of exploiting young models.

Bisexual beauty Rasmussen -- a vocal advocate of women's rights -- told Richardson she believes he abuses his power to put young girls into compromising positions. Horrified Richardson quickly fled the March 8 party at club Le Montana in St. Germain and called her agency, One Management, the next day to complain, she told us.

The model and artist -- in Paris for the release of "Human Zoo," which she directed -- told us she was upset Richardson used her picture in his "Terryworld" book alongside shots of half-naked young girls depicted as performing sex acts.

"He takes girls who are young, manipulates them to take their clothes off and takes pictures of them they will be ashamed of. They are too afraid to say no because their agency booked them on the job and are too young to stand up for themselves. His 'look' is girls who appear underage, abused, look like heroin addicts . . . I don't understand how anyone works with him."

Rasmussen said: "I told him what you do is completely degrading to women. I hope you know you only [bleep] girls because you have a camera, lots of fashion contacts and get your pictures in Vogue. Instead of arguing with me, Terry ran out of the bar. Then the next day, he called my agency and complained I called him names in front of clients in Paris. It was the most cowardly thing I have ever seen."

New York-born Richardson -- seen mugging with President Obama on his Web site -- has photographed Leonardo DiCaprio, Lindsay Lohan and Jay-Z.

Richardson said in 2004: "I don't like to exploit anybody. Everyone has fun on my shoots." Richardson, his agent, manager and assistant did not return calls or e-mails. A rep at his agency, Art Partner, told us: "I don't know anything about this. Terry is on a plane from Paris."

The character bios for the BBC show The Adventures Of Merlin for SyFy.com lead a lot to be desired, especially when they seem to be written by someone who has not seen the show AT ALL or is seems even likes the core main characters involved. It has got to be some of the most WTF OMG character bios in history and does not bode well for the show to be shown on this new network since clearly they have no idea what they are dealing with or even seem to care.

For Gwen:

"Gwen's, or Gwynevere's, current situation is a million miles away from her infamous future. She's maidservant to Morgana, a kind mistress, but nonetheless her duties of cleaning, washing, fetching and carrying are far from glamorous. Not that Gwen minds. Group of 57 Canadian musicians record K'NAAN's song, with new lyrics, as a fundraiser for charities

It's fitting that K'NAAN's hit, Wavin' Flag, has become the theme song for Young Artists for Haiti.

"My song Wavin' Flag seemed like the right feeling for what was going on in Haiti," said a soft-spoken K'NAAN, on tour in Europe.

The Canadian hip-hop artist's signature tune was reworked and recorded by a cross-section of 57 of today's biggest Canadian music stars. Calling themselves Young Artists for Haiti, they included indie favourite Emily Haines, superstar Avril Lavigne and rising rap star Drake. They gathered on Feb. 18 in a Vancouver studio to record the song in an effort to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake.

A new version of Wavin' Flag, which includes new lyrics specific to Haiti and is produced by Bob Ezrin, was to be released today.

Marvel Studios has zeroed in on Hugo Weaving to play the villainous Red Skull in “Captain America.”

Joe Johnston is directing the movie, which remains in search of the actor to play Steve Rogers, Captain America’s alter ego.

In the Marvel comics, Red Skull has been Captain America’s archenemy since 1941, when he engaged in espionage and sabotage as Hitler’s right-hand man. In his final battle with the superhero, he was buried under the rubble of a bombed building but — as would occur later with Captain America — fell into a state of suspended animation. Both were revived in modern times.

The character was the villain in the low-budget 1990 “Captain America” movie.

The dealmaking with Weaving is in a delicate stage that will play out in the next day or so. Agencies grouse that Marvel plays hardball in the negotiating process and also demands multi-movie commitments, though the latter usually applies to actors playing its heroes.

If a deal happens, it would reunite the actor with Johnston, with whom he worked in the recent horror thriller “The Wolfman.” The CAA-repped Weaving already is known to genre fans as bad guy Agent Smith of the “Matrix” movies and elf ruler Elrond of the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy.
